Target TB Loop – Brighton to Richmond to Brighton – for Target TB

A moderate to tough ride of 125 miles over 2 days.

White Lodge to White Cliffs is a tough 2-day ride from North Surrey to the iconic and spectacular White Cliffs of Dover in Kent.

In 2012 the ride will be exclusively in aid of Target TB.
The registration fee is just £99 and the minimum fundraising target is £600.*

The 125-mile ride will start from Brighton Pier on 7 July 2012 and reach Richmond Park that afternoon. Riders will be hosted by the sumptuous Lensbury in Teddington overnight before making the return trip to Brighton on the 8 July.

Highlights of the route will include the climbs and scenery of the North and South Downs, as well as the beauty of Richmond Park, plus the opportunity to ride a section of the 2012 Olympic Road Race.

Target TB’s vision is a world free from Tuberculosis (TB), a world they believe is achievable because TB is completely preventable and curable. People are still suffering from TB because of poverty, so it is their mission to address the health, social and economic impact of the global TB epidemic amongst vulnerable and marginalised groups of people.

They always work alongside local partners, in countries across Africa and Asia with some of the highest TB burdens in the world. They provide diagnosis and treatment, life-saving health education and in-depth training for local volunteer carers to support people with TB. People can then protect themselves and their families from this killer disease.

Last year, they touched the lives of 65,083 people affected by TB for around £9 per person, and delivered life-saving messages about TB to a further 3 million people.

It is easy to see that even small amounts can make a huge difference to their cause.
