Cathedral Cities – Winchester to Lincoln – for The Stroke Association

A moderate to tough ride of 250 miles over 4 days.

The Cathedral Cities ride takes a stunning route between the classic English cathedral towns of Winchester and Lincoln.

In 2012 the ride will be exclusively in aid of The Stroke Association.
The registration fee is just £149 and the minimum fundraising target is £1000.*

The challenge, which kicks off outside Winchester Cathedral on 27 April 2012, will be scenic but challenging, with overnight stops in Berkshire, Northampton and Derby, before finishing outside Lincoln Cathedral on 30 April.

The Stroke Association

Stroke has a greater disability impact than any other medical condition. A quarter of a million people are living with long-term disability as a result of stroke in the UK.

The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages.

The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services. These include Information, Advice and Support, Communication Support and Life After Stroke grants.

They also campaign, educate and inform to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society, and act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke.
