Ride from Oxford to Cambridge for EdUKaid

The EdUKaid University Challenge is a gentle 2 day ride between the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cambridge and will take place on 19-20 May 2012.

The University Challenge is one of our shortest rides in 2012 so it’s perfect if you are new to distance riding but still want to challenge yourself while raising money for a good cause.

Pace on the ride will be moderate and, with a maximum of eight riders plus a full Ride2Raise support team, this will be a fun and friendly ride taking in some of the fine scenery between these two historic University towns.

Although it is not quite as tough as some of our challenges (although don’t expect it to be easy!), this ride still offers the full Ride2Raise ‘Pro-Team Experience’ with one of our most experienced Ride Managers, mechanical support team and vehicle, qualified first-aiders, excellent food and 3-4 star overnight accommodation.

Who are EdUKaid?

Established in 2003, EdUKaid is a UK based charity that aims to enable the children of the developing world to gain dignity and future prosperity for themselves and their communities by providing education.

Education is critical for development. Every economic, social and health issue can be improved by the provision of education, which is why EdUKaid are so devoted to this cause. EdUKaid is addressing many different areas of education in the Mtwara region of southern Tanzania, one of the poorest regions of one of the poorest countries in the world. Needless to say the problems facing them are huge.

EdUKaid can only operate due to the continued and generous support of many individuals and organisations who share their vision that – to learn is to live.
